About

What is CMR?

CMR stands for Christine M Rucker. It's as simple as that. I am passionate about finding ways to break free from painful cycles, especially when it comes to relationship issues. I work with individuals and couples struggling with trauma, depression and anxiety, mood or thought disorders. Asking for help can feel like a big step. If you take that step with me, I’ll provide a safe space for you to work through blocks or changes to your life. Whether you're navigating personal challenges or relationship struggles, I will support your growth with warmth, insight, and practical strategies. You may choose to take this journey individually or involve important people in your life, such as family or partners. I take a collaborative approach to support your goals and the vision for your life. About CMR I have extensive experience delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), TEAM-CBT, CBT for psychosis (CBTp), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am skilled in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention for diverse populations. I have over ten years of helping experience having served in various settings, including schools, jails, shelters, community health and private practice settings. I have a special interest in working with people with trauma and psychosis. I received training in EMDR and Attachment-Focused EMDR directly from Laurel Parnell. I am also trained in Dr. Colin A. Ross's Trauma Model Therapy and integrate this with narrative therapy in my EMDR work. I received training in CBT for Psychosis from Dr. Sally Riggs. For couples counseling, I have training from the Gottman Institute and the Couples Institute. I am a Prepare Enrich facilitator. I am a TEAM-CBT Level 3 clinician and I am working towards my TEAM-CBT Level 4 Trainer certification, under the supervision of Thai-An Truong, LPC, LADC, Certified TEAM-CBT Therapist & Trainer, Level 5.
